Customer Experience Event Steward

Stambridge Group is a rapidly expanding company providing specialist staffing services across a wide range of industries and prestigious venues throughout the UK. We are currently recruiting Customer Experience Event Stewards to support events at the iconic Olympia London venue.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for visitors attending major exhibitions, conferences, live events and shows. Full venue-specific training will be provided before undertaking active shifts on site.

The role is ideal for friendly, professional and proactive individuals who enjoy engaging with members of the public and thrive in a fast-paced event environment.

As a Customer Experience Event Steward, you will play a key role in ensuring visitors receive a warm welcome and a positive experience throughout their time at Olympia.

Duties will include:

• Welcoming visitors and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact.
• Assisting guests with enquiries and wayfinding across the venue.
• Supporting the safe and efficient movement of visitors around event spaces.
• Providing information regarding event facilities, amenities and services.
• Monitoring customer areas and reporting any safety concerns promptly.
• Assisting with queue management and crowd guidance during busy periods.
• Supporting event operations to ensure a smooth customer journey.
• Working collaboratively with venue teams, exhibitors and external agencies as part of a one-team approach.
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism, presentation and customer care at all times.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, approachable and confident when interacting with the public.
• Professional appearance with a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Flexible approach to hours, shifts and duties.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering excellent service.

Skills:

• Previous experience within customer service, hospitality, retail, events, visitor attractions or stewarding environments (desirable but not essential).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
• Good awareness of safety and security within public-facing environments.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in busy event settings.
• A positive, enthusiastic and solutions-focused attitude.
