Security Officer- Olympia

Stambridge Group are a rapidly expanding company with national sites providing cross-industry services, as well as specialist staff for events across the UK.

There are currently vacancies for regular year-round work for SIA licenced security officers in the West London venue of Olympia. A full Venue Specific training programme will be undertaken prior to any active shifts on site. Applicants must have a flexible, proactive approach and be comfortable with assisting with a range of stewarding duties including customer service and crowd management support. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and being part of high-profile, fast paced events.

Essential requirements:

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• Professional appearance with a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred requirements:

• Previous experience working in security, events, exhibitions, hospitality or customer-facing roles.
• Experience working at large scale events or managing high footfall environments.
• Confidence when engaging with members of the public and providing information.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor event areas to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
• Assist guests with enquiries, providing excellent hospitality and guest services.
• Manage crowd control, ensuring orderly movement of attendees during events.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, liaising with emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the event to deter misconduct or unsafe behaviour.
• Working in harmony alongside other agencies at the West London venue with a one-team approach.

Skills:

• Proven management skills with the ability to oversee large crowds efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of handling difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Ability to work well under pressure in dynamic environments whilst maintaining a professional demeanour.
