Event Steward

Stambridge Group is a rapidly expanding organisation delivering specialist security, stewarding and event services across the UK. We are currently recruiting for Stewards to join our team at Winter Wonderland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the UK's most enchanting festive attractions, helping to create a safe and enjoyable experience for thousands of visitors throughout the winter season. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring visitors have a positive and memorable experience while maintaining a safe and well-managed event environment. This position focuses on customer service, visitor assistance, crowd management and supporting the smooth operation of the event.

Essential requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Professional appearance with a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred requirements:

• Previous experience working in events, stewarding, hospitality or customer-facing roles.
• Local to the Hyde Park area or able to arrange your own transport to and from the venue.
• Experience assisting with large visitor numbers in busy environments.
• Confidence when engaging with members of the public and providing information.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible and professional stewarding presence throughout the event site.
• Welcome visitors and provide directions, information and assistance as required.
• Support crowd management and maintain the safe flow of guests around the illuminated trail.
• Monitor designated areas and report any concerns, incidents or hazards to supervisors.
• Assist with queue management and visitor entry and exit procedures.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies in line with event procedures.
• Maintain high standards of customer service at all times.
• Support event operations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

• Ability to remain calm and professional in busy environments.
• Organised with good time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Successful applicants will be expected to be available for shifts throughout the period of 12th November to 31st December 2026. While work may not be required every day, flexibility is essential.
