Shoeburyness Cleaner

We are seeking a dedicated individual to fulfil a role as a Cleaner within our organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring the environment is welcoming, sanitary, and safe for all staff, visitors, and service users. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude and have pride in delivering excellent results. They will be respectful, discreet and able to work in environments where confidentiality is important.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous cleaning experience in a workplace/ school/ healthcare or similar environment.
• Previous experience using a range of cleaning tools and machinery e.g. vacuum cleaners, floor polishers.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities or schedules.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all buildings users.

Desirable but not Essential Criteria:

• Current EDBS certificate.
• First Aid or Basic Health & Safety training.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role or public environment.
• Knowledge of environmentally friendly cleaning practices.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:

• Ability to carry out cleaning duties to a high standard, following agreed schedules and procedures.
• Good attention to detail, ensuring all areas are hygienic, safe and presentable.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, punctual and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Basic understanding of health & safety practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Awareness of COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene standards.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Operations Manager.

Full training for the specific site will be given.

Hours & shift pattern:

0600-0800, 1500-1830, Monday - Friday, hours to be discussed in the interview.
