Gain the necessary training for alcohol licensing in order to obtain a Personal Licence (APLH), issued by the Local Authorities Licensing Department with our personal license training course - education on the 2003 Licensing Act requiring that people sell alcohol responsibly.

Alcohol Licensing - Personal License Training Course

This Level 2 Award ensures that people involved in the sale of alcohol do so responsibly and also legally.

The types of businesses and organisations that need alcohol licenses include establishments such as:

  1. Pubs and Bars
  2. Cinemas
  3. Theatres
  4. Nightclubs
  5. Late-opening Cafes
  6. Takeaways
  7. Village and Community Halls
  8. Supermarkets

This one-day personal license training course is designed to inform the Personal License Holder of their obligations under the law as well as their responsibilities when selling alcohol. On completion, attendees will be able to understand and also implement the requirements of the Licensing Act for a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS).

You must be 18 or over in order to attend.

The Course Includes Legislation Such As:

  1. The Statutory Requirements for Anyone Selling Alcohol and also Authorising the Sale of Alcohol.
  2. Duties of a Personal License Holder.
  3. Licensing Objectives.
  4. Licensable Activities.
  5. The Laws Regarding Children on Licensed Premises.

The course is assessed by a 40 question multiple-choice exam.
