Recruitment & Vetting

The recruitment procedures at Stambridge Group ensure the process is inclusive, non-discriminatory, and that advertising is made widely accessible in a range of different formats. We provide job opportunities for people with health conditions and disabilities.

Recruitment Procedures & Screening Process

Stambridge Group runs bespoke background screening for the recruitment of temporary and permanent staff. We follow the recommendations and guidelines given by the British Standards Institution on vetting procedures: BS 7858 2019.

Applicants for full and part-time positions at all levels can be subject to screening as far back as ten years. Along with industry-standard vetting, we may also request character references as part of the recruitment procedures. All potential employees will go through standard ID validation and verification. In addition to these checks, vetting may involve providing confirmation for the right to work in the UK and proof of address history.

Free support is available to help candidates in completing the automated online application form. Finally, once the full screening steps are processed and certified, conditional employment can commence.

Policies & Conduct

Checks obtained on previous employment should meet the standards required concerning safety and care, the security of people, property and goods. We insist on maintaining the high level of customer service that we pride ourselves on, therefore, the history of the candidate should reflect the company’s reputation.

Employees are expected to be polite, respectful and professional at all times and behave in a controlled and helpful manner. Dress code should always be adhered to, even while off duty. The use of drugs is not tolerated, nor the use of any inappropriate language.

Organisation & Efficiency

Whilst representing the company employees need to cooperate with other members of staff. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is paramount. It is essential that incidents are recorded promptly and then passed on to the relevant superiors.

It is possible that employees will need to take additional training or refresher courses as well as aptitude tests for certain job roles. Members of staff must be able to provide the services that each role entails competently with a full understanding of the requirements for each assignment.

Final Stages

To take an interview it is not always necessary to meet face to face as we can hold a meeting via video call. We employ people from all over the country and make accommodations for special requirements wherever we can.

Stambridge Group Limited currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of Door Supervision and Security Guarding.
