Our recruitment and vetting process involves background checks on all potential employees that follow the latest recommendations set out by the British Standards Institution.

British Standards 7858

Our background screening checks follow the British Standards Institution's guidelines on vetting for each candidate's specific roles and working environments.

The screening may go back up to ten years before the current employment application and applies to full-time and part-time employees, for temporary and permanent staff at all levels within the organisation. Character references may also be required in addition to the checks listed below.

Other Recruitment And Vetting Checks

Identity checks including details such as:

  1. ID Confirmation.
  2. 5 Year Address History.
  3. Right to Work Check.
  4. Character References.
  5. SIA Licence Check (if applicable).

Financial checks in areas such as:

  1. Bankruptcy/Insolvency/IVA.
  2. CCJ (Up to £10,000).
  3. Credit Score.

Employment checks such as:

  1. 5 or 10 years of Employment History.
  2. Gap Referencing (more in-depth and extended to 31 days).

Criminal records checks:

  1. Basic Disclosure.

There is no requirement here for checking physical fitness.
